Jonathan Kreisberg

Jonathan Kreisberg is an American jazz guitarist known for his distinctive blend of traditional and modern jazz styles. Born in New York in 1972, Kreisberg began playing guitar at the age of 10. He studied at the Manhattan School of Music, where he was influenced by a wide range of musical genres, from classical to rock, but he ultimately focused on jazz. Over the years, Kreisberg has gained a reputation for his technical skill, melodic inventiveness, and ability to blend intricate harmonies with compelling rhythms. Kreisberg has played with many well-known jazz musicians, including Dr. Lonnie Smith, Joe Locke, and Ari Hoenig. He has released several albums as a bandleader, with “The South of Everywhere” and “Wave Upon Wave” being among his most acclaimed works. Kreisberg is also a respected educator, giving masterclasses and teaching at various institutions.
