“Yürüyen Merdiven” is the story of twenty years of friendship and the journey of its music. The first thing that comes to mind is a mechanical escalator; A two-legged, loving, running, dancing, breathing escalator. The melodic approach of the drums and the percussive characters of the piano are intertwined; An Escalator who is eager to take everyone he meets on his journey with him, with a balanced, lively and mischievous identity.
In this concert, Yürüyen Merdiven will be accompanied by Baran Say on double bass.

Baran Say. Born in Izmir, Say started playing classical guitar at a young age. During his high school years, he became interested in the electric bass and focused on music studies. After being accepted to the Vienna State Conservatory in 1999, he switched to the double bass instrument. The musician, who has been actively involved in the jazz scene since the early 2000s, participated in album works with Burçin Büke, Tanini, Cenk Erdoğan, Bilal Karaman, Yavuz Akyazıcı, Şirin Soysal and Başak Yavuz. He had concerts with guitarist Will Brahm Trio. He performed in many different festivals and projects.
