Söylem Odu Quintet

Jazz vocalist Söylem Odu became interested in music at a young age. While studying at the Aydın Doğan High School of Fine Arts, she studied jazz vocals with jazz vocalists Sanat Deliorman and Başak Yavuz. She then gained admission to the Istanbul University State Conservatory, where she continued her studies under jazz vocalist Ece Göksü. During this period, she participated in the Nardis Young Jazz Vocal Competition and won an award. After completing her undergraduate studies, she began her bachelor’s program at the Kunstuniversität Graz (KUG) in Graz, Austria. She currently continues her studies at KUG with world-renowned jazz vocalist Dena DeRose. Söylem Odu actively performs on various stages, primarily in Austria and Turkey; in addition to performing the traditional jazz repertoire with her unique interpretation, she also shares her original compositions with her audience.
