Serhan Erkol “Melting Pot”

Serhan Erkol studied at Istanbul Bilgi University under Ricky Ford, Lawrence ”Butch” Morris, Donovan Mixon, Aydın Esen, Can Kozlu and Ali Perret. He performed both in Turkey and internationally with Ricky Ford Orchestra, Donovan Mixon Quartet, Teneffüs and other projects. He graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University in 2014. Upon graduation he received the Fulbright Scholarship and was accepted to the New England Conservatory Contemporary Improvisation Master program. There he studied with Ran Blake, George Garzone, Peter Row, Jerry Bergonzi, Allen Chase, Joe Morris and Anthony Coleman. He released the album ”Motel Atm” in 2016. He performs regularly both with his own band and other projects.
