Şenay Ocak “Rock Swings” feat. Şenova Ülker

She has studied with leading figures in jazz at Bahçeşehir University Jazz Academy. She has undertaken projects with the Hacettepe University Academic Symphony Orchestra. She has been invited to and performed at various festivals both domestically and internationally, including in Egypt, Qatar, Italy, and Germany. She has conducted jam sessions, workshops, and talks with the Boğaziçi University Jazz Ensemble, the METU Jazz Group, and the Bilkent Music Club. She is currently a member of the Musicology Department at Istanbul University. She completed her master ‘s degree with top honors. In December 2023, she featured on the album “Olta 14″ with Teoman, with her song ” Ucuz Romantik,”for which she wrote both the lyrics and music; she also performed a duet with Cemil Demirbakan, the first vocalist of the rock band Yüksek Sadakat, on this project. Şenay Ocak continues to perform in jazz concerts with many leading and renowned musicians in her field, while simultaneously pursuing her academic research both domestically and internationally. Furthermore, she plans to continue her studies in 2025. In May,her new single “Serseri Hayaletin” (The Vagabond Ghost), recorded with prominent musicians in memory of İrfan Alış, was also released to the public . Writing about jazz, giving interviews, and conducting workshops are also a part of her life.
