Pınar Ünal Quintet

Pınar Ünal, who recently released her first single “Renkler” (Colors), is currently preparing an upcoming EP. During her high school years, Pınar Ünal began her music education at the Istanbul University State Conservatory’s part-time Opera Department. She continued her undergraduate studies at the Istanbul Technical University State Conservatory’s Musicology Department. She received training in harmony and flute with Nail Yavuzoğlu, piano with Faris Akarsu, and studied Turkish music theory with Alaaddin Yavaşça and Yavuz Özüstün. While receiving flute training from Bülent Evcil, she performed flute at workshops organized by Miyazawa and Sankyo flute brands. She completed her Master’s degree in Ethnomusicology at Haliç University with field research on Circassian music. Her repertoire offers a colorful selection of jazz standards, bossa nova, funk, and R&B music.
