Nomad Groove Collective

Nomadic Groove Collective will be presenting high energy jazz fusion featuring an array of eclectic sounds; Ethio-jazz, funk, afrobeat, soul, Arabic and breakbeat. The group will be providing almost entirely original compositions of soulful melodies and eerie harmonies driven by groove-based rhythms. Pushing the bounda-ries of contemporary jazz through the diverse roots of every band member, listen out for the quarter to-ne maqams or diminished dissonance to tickle your curioristy. The band will also be joined by special guests, such as vocalist Riman Amin singing original tunes rooted in neo-soul and blues. The collective consists of Johannes Bowling (alto saxophone), Utku Gürler (trumpet), Peter Shalamov (keys), Mehdi Farzane (bass), Berkay Sümbül (drums) and Riman Amin (vocals).
