Melisa Durukan &. İlayda Hatipoğlu Quintet

Melisa Durukan was born in Fethiye, Muğla. She began playing the guitar during primary school. Between 2019 and 2023, she studied Translation and Interpreting in Izmir. In 2021, she started studying jazz vocals and harmony with Evrim Özşuca. After approximately two years of one-on-one study, she began learning jazz guitar. In 2024, she commenced studies in jazz vocals and technique with Randy Esen under the aus-pices of SOS. Also at SOS, she took lessons in music theory and jazz vocals from İpek Göztepe, piano from Ceyda Özbaşarel, and rhythm from Simon Shiriaev. She continues to make music with friends in Is-tanbul.
