Brenda Berin Band

Brenda Berin, a founding member of the Authentic Anatolian Project, continues to perform on the jazz scene with various projects and her solo work. She now takes the stage at Nardis, presenting unique interpretations of jazz standards alongside a selection of Soul-Funk tracks.
Educated in the USA, Brenda Berin produced an “archive album” with the Authentic Anatolian Project, a group she formed with some of Turkey’s finest jazz musicians. Released in 2013 under the Sony Music label—and featuring contributions from legendary drummer Dave Weckl and Grammy Award-winner George Whitty—the album *Sakın Ağlama* (Don’t Cry) hit the shelves just three days before the Gezi Park protests; despite the timing, it received rave reviews from critics.

In addition to being the final vocalist for the Doublemoon-signed group Orient Expressions, she has participated in projects with prominent Turkish musicians such as Fatih Erkoç, Ozan Doğulu, and Hi-Jazz, as well as collaborations with world-renowned artists like Erik Truffaz and Talvin Singh. On Jean-Pierre Smadj’s latest album released in France, the track “Sen ve Ben” (You and Me)—featuring music and lyrics by Berin—was performed by Natacha Atlas.

She has contributed both her vocals and songwriting to numerous advertising jingles, as well as to soundtracks for TV series and feature films. Her single “Midnite,” released under Simplastique Records, quickly reached the international market after being selected for *Ibiza Chillout Session Vol. 7* and various other compilation albums. Collaborating with Turkey’s leading event organization companies, the artist continues to perform alongside the country’s most distinguished musicians while simultaneously working on her debut solo album.
