Barış Alp Dönmez Quintet

Born in Istanbul in 1999, Barış Alp Dönmez started making band music during his years at Galatasaray High School. After receiving a 50% scholarship for undergraduate education in the Berklee 5-Week Summer Prog-ram (2017), he attended the BAU Jazz Certificate Program to improve his knowledge of the jazz tradition and vocal technique. During his time in BAU Certificate Program, he worked with masters such as Başak Yavuz, Sibel Köse, Baki Duyarlar and Şevket Akıncı. In 2018, he started his undergraduate studies at Berklee Colle-ge of Music. At Berklee, he had the opportunity to work with names such as Peter Eldridge (from New York Voices) and Kurt Elling. After the pandemic, Barış Alp returned to Türkiye. He currently continues
his jazz vocal studies with Sibel Köse and performs regularly in Istanbul.Music
