Having completed her high school and university education at the Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory’s Clarinet Department, Cansu Nihal Akarsu expanded her classical music foundation through jazz vocal studies. After winning first place at the 14th Nardis Young Jazz Vocal Competition and representing Turkey at the Riga Jazz Stage, she continues to perform on various jazz stages. Akarsu, who works as an instructor in the Jazz Vocal Department at Yaşar University while also serving as a backing vocalist for Kenan Doğulu, has a discography that includes the single “Gezegen” as well as the EPs *Bir Dilim Aşk & Bukalemun* (2022) and *Ninni & Bulutlar Ülkesi*. Cansu Nihal Akarsu will take the stage at Nardis Jazz Club on October 6th as a guest of the 36th Akbank Jazz Festival’s “Jazz Clubs Night” series.
