Alp Kıyıcı Quintet

Alp Kıyıcı was born in Ankara in 1996 into a family of musicians. He began his musical education with his family, joining the Ministry of Culture’s Polyphonic Children’s Choir at the age of 7. He started his professional music education at the age of 11 at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, studying piano at the middle school level with Assistant Professor Menekşe Akar. Throughout his middle and high school years, he continued his piano studies with Assistant Professors İrem Bozkurt and Sanem Berkalp. After graduating from high school, he began vocal studies with Yunus Emre Özorhan at Başkent University State Conservatory’s Popular Music and Jazz Singing department. After three years there, he continued his education at Istanbul University State Conservatory, studying jazz at the jazz major level. He studied jazz vocals with Ece Göksu and jazz theory, ensemble, composition, and arrangement with names such as Evrim Demirel, Eylül Biçer, Aycan Teztel, Danny Fratina, and Şenova Ülker. In addition to formal music education, Sibel Köse participated in vocal workshops and master classes with names such as The Royal Bopsters and Jazzmeia Horn. During her education, she won the NTV Radio award at the Nardis Jazz Club Jazz Vocal competition. She gave concerts in festivals, clubs, and concert halls in various cities such as Ankara, Istanbul, and Eskişehir. She also recorded animation films and advertising jingles.
