Ceyda Özbaşarel graduated from Yıldız Technical University with a degree in Environmental Engineering, and then from Kocaeli University Faculty of Fine Arts, Piano Department. She studied ear training with Do-novan Mixon and worked for many years on sound and jazz vocals with Randy Esen. She participated in workshops by Sheila Jordan, Kevin Mahagony, and Aydın Esen. She was featured in the Garanti Jazz Tree series. She developed the “I Have a Song!” project with Başak Yavuz.
She has been teaching vocals and piano and performing on stage since 2009, has been a guest vocalist on Banu Kanıbelli’s single “Lobna” and her album “Bi’ Şarkım Var”, on Başak Yavuz’s album “Little Red Bug”, on Şevket Akıncı’s albums “Escher Chronicles” and “Radyo Ekoton”, and also appeared as a guest vocalist in the soundtrack of Serdar Yılmaz’s short film “Bağlanma Hali”.
In 2021, she released her first album, Madtime Stories, consisting of songs she wrote and composed her-self.
