Ronald Baker & Aleksei Cheremizov Quartet

Ronald Baker was born in Baltimore, Maryland on the 21st of November, 1968. After studying trumpet at the Baltimore school for the Arts, he went on to pursue a bachelor’s degree in music education at Oberlin Conservatory of Music. It was there that he studied with great artists such as Donald Byrd, Kenny Davis, Wendell Logan, JJ Johnson, Jon Faddis, Gorge Cables and many others! Arriving in France in 1992, it didn’t take long to establish himself as a quality trumpet player and good singer. Ronald has appeared in most of the major jazz festivals in France and has performed with great artists such as Lou Donaldson, Curtis Fuller, Red Halloway, Jesse Davis and Antonio Hart to name a few !! Ronald is currently touring with the Michele Hendricks Septet, Liz McComb Brassland as well as his own quintet that has been touring for more than 22 years (www.ronaldbakerquintet.net) . Ronald has also been teaching at a private jazz school for the past 13years.
Alexei Cheremizov is a jazz pianist and producer from Saint Petersburg. Founder and owner of Cher-ry&Music concert agency As a pianist, he has played many concerts in various small and large bands.
He is a brilliant accompanist for a range of variety singers and instrumental players. He has recorded several albums as a sideman. But his real passion is the classical piano trio. As a producer, he has been organizing concert tours with musicians from the USA, Italy, France, Turkey and other countries for more than 25 years
These concert tours take place throughout the large geography of Russia, Europe, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and other countries. Among the invited jazz stars whom Alexey has collabo-rated with – s uch singers as Sharon Clark, Kenny Washington, Jamie Davis, Michelle Walker, Sibel Kose, Monique Thomas, Faby Medina, Melvin Travis, Elisabeth Kontomanou, Gail Pettis, Roy Young, Fabio Le-pore and many others.
