Ece Göksu

Born in Ankara, Ece Göksu completed her classical piano studies at the conservatory and then earned a master’s degree in jazz vocals at William Paterson University in the USA in 2007 on a Fulbright scholarship. There, she worked with esteemed musicians such as Nancy Marano, Mulgrew Miller, and Cecil Bridgewater. She also had private lessons from Roberta Gambarini and Jay Clayton and attended masterclasses by Kurt Elling.

In 2012, her first solo album, “Masal,” was released by A.K. Müzik. In 2014, her album of jazz standards, “Slow, Hot Wind,” recorded with Neşet Ruacan and Volkan Hürsever, was released by Ada Müzik. In 2024, she released her third solo album, “Live in Assos,” a live concert recording with İmer Demirer and Eylül Biçer. The same year, she released his EP, “All I Need,” featuring her own songs with Eylül Biçer.

She has performed as a soloist with legendary orchestras and Grammy-winning musicians such as The Duke Ellington Orchestra and Grégoire Maret, as well as with the TRT Jazz Orchestra, the Presidential Symphony Orchestra, and the Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, Bursa, Eskişehir, and Olten Symphony Orchestras. Ece Göksu currently lives in Istanbul and continues to perform concerts, workshops, and record albums both domestically and internationally. She is also one of the founders of the eight-year-old “Jazz Camp” and teaches as an assistant professor in the jazz department of the Istanbul University State Conservatory.
