Trombonist Bulut Gülen began his musical education at the age of nine and graduated from
the Trombone departments of Ankara Hacettepe and Istanbul State Conservatories.
After receiving numerous awards and participating in concerts and tours, he continued his
education at Berklee College of Music in the United States from 2007, completing a
Professional Music Diploma. He has performed in concerts and festivals across the U.S.,
Canada, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, the Balkans, and Turkey alongside many
internationally renowned jazz musicians. He completed his master’s degree at the New
England Conservatory.
He has appeared at jazz festivals in Montreal, Beantown, Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, Bursa,
Alanya, Bozcaada, Bodrum, and Kaş. In addition, he has performed at historic jazz venues such as Birdland, The Jazz Gallery, National Sawdust, and the Lincoln Jazz Center. Internationally, he has been featured as a performer on numerous big band and small combo recordings.
He has taught at the Jazz Department of Hacettepe University State Conservatory and at Bahçeşehir University Conservatory, and he continues to teach at these and various other institutions. His debut album *Su*, featuring his original compositions, was released by A.K. Müzik in June 2015. His second album, *Bosphorus Train*, was released in 2022 under the Doğulu Music label.
