Modus Jazz Quartet

Modus Jazz Quartet consists of musicians who have served and continue to serve music and music education as academicians with their own unique playing style and composer identity.
In this project, the group performs a repertoire of compositions by music theorist, conductor and bassist Nail Yavuzoğlu, which are blended with the harmonic structure of the period called “New Jazz” and fed with elements of our music culture. Yavuzoğlu is a musician who has written numerous books on Turkish Maqam Music, Jazz Music, Music Theory, Ear Training, Basic Music Education, Piano Education, has been a guest in the homes of people who are devoted to music education, is the arranger and conductor of CRR Jazz Orchestra and Istanbul Jazz Band, a professor at ITU Composition Department and plays electric bass in
