Fatih Oral Quartet

Performing improvisations featuring compositions by neyzen Fatih Oral, which utilize modal, makam, folk, and pentatonic scales, the group can be considered a unique example of Turkish-style jazz. Striving to com-bine fretless instruments such as the ney, fretless guitar, and double bass with a unique and sensitive de-sign based on harmony and rhythm, the group released their albums “Always Love” in 2020, “Harput Blues” in 2021, and “Silent Road” in 2024, all on the Ada Müzik record label.
The albums have earned their place in Cazkolik’s archive of Turkish jazz albums. Performances at venues such as Nardis and Nağmedar have been well-received, and some performances have included a drum quartet. The band’s albums are being played on jazz programs on TRT Radio-3 and Açık Radyo.
