Barış Öztürk Trio

Barış Öztürk is a double bassist and bass guitarist, as well as one of the young musicians actively performing on the Istanbul jazz scene. Born in Karabük, he is currently pursuing his undergraduate studies in the Jazz Department at the Istanbul University State Conservatory. Drawing inspiration from double bass masters such as Ray Brown, Christian McBride, Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen (NHØP), and Paul Chambers, he interprets classic jazz standards. He performs regularly at jazz clubs in Istanbul.
