Talented Brazilian musician, flutist, conductor, arranger, and composer. Daughter of renowned singer Glória Maria, a key figure in Brasília’s music history, Diana has made her mark on the local cultural scene. She demonstrates versatility across various musical styles, significantly enhancing the quality of performances. As a vocalist and flutist, she performs with duos, trios and quartets featuring bass, guitar, piano and drums, focusing on Bossa Nova and Jazz at local shows, GDF events, and national festivals. A versatile instrumentalist, Diana navigates both popular and classical music. Currently, she is part of the Duo Henrique-Mota, performing works from Piazzolla to Villa-Lobos, and the Mousikê Femme, a female quartet that blends opera arias with R&B and hip-hop.
As a conductor, arranger and music producer, Diana founded the Orquestra Popular Salve Gloria in 2017, a pioneering project in the Midwest of Brazil. She is the first woman to lead her own big band in a predominantly male music scene, featuring 16 musicians (bass, guitar, piano, drums, 3 percussionists, violin, tenor sax/flute, alto sax/clarinet, baritone sax, 3 trombones, and 2 trumpets) with a repertoire focused on Frevo, Maracatu, Ciranda, Ijexá, and Baião. In 2011, She won the Festival da Rádio Nacional de Brasília for Best Instrumental Music with her first composition, “Saudades de minha mãe,” dedicated to her mother.
